How can you cash an insurance check if it written to two people who neither can open a bank account?

Money shops can usually help but they charge a percentage fee. The best thing I could suggest is asking the Insurance company to provide the funds in an alternative, ie a Check available from a Post Office or have it wired to a friend or family members bank account.
