Lapras is single stage Water/Ice-type Pokemon with above average, well-rounded stats other than Speed. In particular, it has excellent HP, making it a decent defensive Pokemon. The Lapras that you encounter in Union Cave are always Level 20 and, therefore, know Confuse Ray, Ice Shard, Water Pulse and Body Slam. Lapras is a great Pokemon throughout the game if you come to get one early enough, due its great level-up moves and TM versatility, so make sure you catch one that has its better ability, Water Absorb, which heals Lapras when Water-type attacks hit it. If you faint Lapras, not to worry: another one will appear here next Friday.
