Usually heating the liquid will allow more solid to be dissolved. This not always the case though.

How can you cause more solid solute be dissolved in a liquid?

Stirring the liquid and heating it up will usually increase the amount of solute which will dissolve.

What are four types of solution?

Saturated solution is the ideal type of solution. The other is unsaturated, which is less saturated than what the solvent (water, liquid etc.), and it can dilute. The last one is supersaturated which mean the solution contains more solute (solid materials).

Which has greater density liquid water or frozen water?

Solid water has greater density than liquid water in general, assuming there is not much dissolved oxygen to cause voids. A solid will always be more dense than a liquid, if it freezes in a manner that does not allow for voids.

What is an example of colloid sol?

There are a few different types of colloids based on the state of matter.Classifications:Aerosol (liquid dispersed in a gas - fog, mist, clouds) Foam (gas dispersed in a liquid - soda (CO2 dissolved in water), whipped cream)Solid Foam (gas dispersed in a solid - Styrofoam, plaster)Emulsion (liquid dispersed in a liquid - butter, milk)Gel (liquid dispersed in a solid - jello, starch solution)Solid Aerosol (solid dispersed in a gas - smoke, dust)Sol (solid dispersed in a liquid - blood, ink, paint)Condom (gas dispersed in a solid-square plane-figure)Prostitute (Girl turns rouge-causing her to have sex with anyone who pays her)

How can you cause more solid solute to be dissolve in a liquid?

stir and heat the liquid.

Is iodine brittle?

In solid form, yes (although it is more often encountered as a liquid, dissolved in alcohol).

What are different types of solutions?

1. gaseous solution- includes gases or vapors dissolved in one another.two or more gases can form a solution. Air is an example of a gaseous solution. When dry is made up of oxygen gas dissolved in nitrogen gas.2. liquid solution-contain a liquid solvent in which gas, liquid, or solid is dissolved. Water is the most common liquid solution. Many things can be dissolved in it. Table salt is an example of a solid dissolved in a liquid. A liquid and a gas can also be dissolved in a liquid solution.3. A solid solution-is a mixture of solids spread equally throughout one another. Metal is an example of a solid solution at room temperature.different kinds of solution

Why does solid body weigh more in air than when immersed in a liquid?

the buoyant force of the liquid on the solid is more than the buoyant force of the air on the solid.

What are the three types of solutions?

1. Gaseous Solution- includes gases or vapors dissolved in one another. Two or more gases can form a solution. Air is an example of a gaseous solution. When dry is made up of oxygen gas dissolved in nitrogen gas. 2. Liquid Solution- contain a liquid solvent in which gas, liquid, or solid is dissolved. Water is the most common liquid solution. When something is dissolving is it a solid or an aqueous solution?

When a solid such as table salt is placed in a liquid that dissolves it (a solvent) such as water, it dissolves and passes into solution. When it is all dissolved there is no solid left, only the liquid salt solution. It is still solid while it is dissolving as the dissolution action can only take place at the surface of the solid. Removal of salt ions (sodium and chlorine atoms) from the solid exposes more solid underneath until all the solid is dissolved.

Is a solution a mixture in which a solid solute is always dissolved in a liquid solvent?

No. Metal mixtures, called alloys, are also solutions. For example, sterling silver is an alloy of silver and copper. Also, solutions can contain dissolved gases in liquid and also more than one liquid.
