Turn yourself in. If the warrant is not still outstanding, walk away.
how far does speedway go back to check your background <><><> If there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest, and it is still a valid warrant, it will show.
It can depend on the job you are trying for, how far back the check will go, and/or if the warrant is still active. If they check back for the 5 years you indicate, it IS possible (even probable) that the outstanding warrant will show up.
A dismissed warrant may not show up in a light background check. If they probe deeply, it may still show up. You can request a copy of your background check for free from each company. Request a copy from the company they are using and check for yourself.
If you know that the warrant is still active, there is a better than even chance that the offense is still open, and that you are still wanted. I don't know where you get your information on the statute of limitations being expired but I would check again.
If they have a warrant and did not post it, yes they can still look for you. If they don't have a warrant for your arrest, tey are not allowed to look for you unless you are doing illegal activity at the time they are looking for you.
Oh, yes.
A warrant is a judicial order for an arrest. If the warrant was still valid, the law enforcement officer has no choice but to make an arrest.
No, the warrant has to be satisfied. YOU HAVE TO GO TO JAIL.
I have a failure to appear for a bad check that was a felony in Jax, Fla ... Can I still get a passport and travel to london? It was a felony by 76 dollars ,,, but still a felony???
No. If the search warrant is invalid and they illegally searched you or someone you know (like without reasonable cause, or without the warrant) then they can't use any evidence against you. To the best of my knowledge, anyways. I don't know how many ways a search warrant can be wrong though...if they were searching for like, pot, but found cocaine, they CAN use that though. Or a gun, or something like that. If they have the warrant, they can use it. If they searched without the warrant, its invalid and inadmissible 100%.
Yes, the governors warrant, (usually an extradition warrant) takes precedence over your being out on bail.
Charges for bad checks are only acted on if the merchant/person receiving the check files a complaint with the authorities. Even so, in most cases the writer of the bogus check is given the chance to make restitution for the full amount of the check and whatever penalties apply.
