I have used white vinegar before.If you can get the metal piece off pour vinegar in a small glass and let it soak for a little while.If you cant get the piece off to soak try a cotton swab and rub it on.....It will take longer but still worked for me.Good luck ( "PLEASE"MAKE SURE IT'S NOT PLUGED IN)
