How can you clean the white rubbery part of your Converse sneakers?

Just put them in the washing machine, (cold water and just a little detergent) sans laces. If youre really anal about it, put the laces in a sock and knot the end to wash them too. DO NOT put them in the dryer! Then let them air dry (sitting in the sun is good, or under a ceiling fan, etc.) Dont stuff them with newspaper or paper towels, (unless your changing them every half hour) it just prolongs drying and allows that funky smell to blossom again!

∙ 13y agoAs a mother of two, I can strongly recommend a Mr. Clean eraser pad. It doesn't clean as much as it lifts the top layer [removing the scuff marks]. Simply dampen, scrub and set aside for next use. Do this regularly, and your shoes will look brand new!
