Typically, you should aim to spend about 10-15% of your total presentation time on the opening. For example, if your presentation is 30 minutes long, the opening should be approximately 3-4 minutes. This time should be used to grab your audience's attention, establish your credibility, and set the tone for the rest of your presentation.
That so depends on the presentation and content. Typically, for engineering presentations, I assume 1-3 minutes per slide with average of 2 minutes per slide, for a 20-30 slide presentation. If you have only 5 or 10 minutes, about 5 to 10 slides.

If, as you say, it takes 5 minutes to develop 100 negatives, then by the process of inductive inferential logic, we may reasonably and confidently conclude that it would take 5 minutes to develop 100 of them.

I am working on a guided presentation now for my IB diploma. It's basically when you lead a group in a paideia, "fishbowl discussion", etc. You would do this by first talking for a few minutes (based on the length of your presentation) about your goals for the discussion, as well as introducing the topics, setting any operant definitions, etc. During the discussion, let the group members talk about the points that you want them to talk about. This means that you won't dominate the whole conversation; rather, you will guide them (hence the "guided presentation") in the direction that you want to go. An effective presentation is steered in the direction you are headed by slight comments and suggestions to the group. Hope this helps!
To give good presentations, you have to find a topic and be able to talk about it for a few minutes. Most teachers or instructors have guidelines that tell you how to present and what to present about, so be very careful and follow what your teacher says. The following Tips and Suggestions are general suggestions that can help you get a good mark for your presentation. == == == ==
