How do you convince your mom to buy you a phone?

Say that you'll use it only for emergencies (like fire). You can also do exceptionally well at school and do her favors like cleaning your room or babysitting your younger sibling while she's away. Note that a tantrum will never work and will make the situation even worse (if you are not a spoiled kid).

Just make a deal with her.

Offer to do chores your mom already does daily.

If she still doesn't say yes, offer to pay for the phone, and a large percentage of the monthly phone bill. You could even make a chart to compare phone prices. This will REALLY impress her.

But sometimes it depends on your responsibility level or how much money you parents have in their budget.

You should wait a little while until you first ask.

Hey, I've been there too! I finally got phone this year. (6th grade). My mom has not only given me the phone for Christmas, but is happy about her actions. Instead of telling your mom you want to chat with your friends and that every other girl has a phone, try going over the things that are safe about one. Tell her that if there is ever an emergency you may call her right away. Also, tell her you can help pay for the phone. Try doing chores around the house to get money. Lastly, if she does give in don't go for anything big. I just have a pay as you go phone which is perfect for my age. You can still talk and text. Hope this helped! :) !

say to your parents one day " i am meeting up with my friend , cam i use your phone to call her/him? if they say yes then use it , now everyday try doing this until they go , you should have your own phone to call your friends , i need mine for business , then you say " okay can i get a phone this weekend ?" That's what i did and i was only 9 . then when my phone got a bit out of fashion i always would get another one for my Birthday or Christmas . then i would know they would say yes , but when i am older i have more responsibilities for a more expensive phone , something like the iPhone 4!!:]

just keep begging until they lose it then you just ignor them or what you can do is save up and just buy it ur self or just ask someone else in your family for one
