Click the "discuss" link when you are on a question page. That will take you to the discussion area. Also, you could take it to the talk page of the person who answered edited it, if the discussion isn't exactly what should be permanently linked with the question. Then if things start seeming to escalate, then it is time to either stop the conversation, invite the other party/parties to another venue, or involve the Community Advisor.
