When you get to the question home of the question you want to answer, go to Improve Answer. You will then be able to improve the answer, or change the answer. When editing an answer, if there are small changes, such as spelling changes, grammatical changes, etc, check the box for minor changes. The reason for this is, that you are not the first person to answer the question, or really, the last person to answer the question.
