Change the Engine COolant Temperature Sensor with the 2-wire connector. This sensor controls the radiator fan.
Normal operating temperature is 1/2 as per the guage
Fan should turn on 1mm before the red as per the guage.
Fan should turn on when A/C turns on. If it doesnt, then check the fan and its relays and fuses

96 Saturn and you changed the water pump and thermostat and it has a over heating problem you put coolant in and you get no heat but it overheats how can you solve this?

Could be bad news. Have it checked for a cracked head gasket. I had a similar problem with mine -- had to replace the engine.
