To fix a 1999 Saturn SC2 speedometer, first check the vehicle's speed sensor located on the transmission; a malfunctioning sensor can cause inaccurate readings. Inspect the wiring and connections for damage or corrosion and replace any faulty components. If these steps don't solve the issue, consider replacing the speedometer gauge itself or the instrument cluster, as internal failures can also affect performance. Finally, consult a professional mechanic if the problem persists.
