Not only should we obey God's commandments in order that we can progress, adding intelligence to intelligence, light to light and truth to truth, but also we should glorify our Creator by doing many good works of our own free will and choice. In doing all the good we can, within the limits of mortality, we qualify ourselves for the grace from God that is necessary for us to be saved in Heaven. When this is accomplished we have filled the measure of our creation or, rather, we have accomplished the purpose for which we were created the result of which is endless happiness. Yes, the end purpose of the design of man is happiness without end.

This world is a purposeful creation by God, in which all people are tested concerning their use of free-will. We possess a soul which lives on after the body dies and is held responsible for the person's actions. Anyone who is worthy can merit reward in the afterlife.
