A Pokewalker works with both the Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. There is no difference between the Pokewalkers given out with both versions.

I am not sure if they will make Poke' Walkers for Black and White but, if they do they most likely the games won't be able to connect with HeartGold and SoulSilver Poke' Walkers.
