There is a way to do this without buying a cheat console but you have to have Pokèmon Emerald.
- Get a Masterball.
- Give it to one of your Pokèmon to hold.
- Go to the Battle Tower in the Battle Frontier.
- Deposit your Pokèmon into an empty box.
- Save the game.
- Withdraw the Pokèmon.
- Talk to the lady closest to the PC and select a challenge.
- Select your Pokèmon.
- Right when the game starts saving shut off your device.
- Turn on your device and it will say you have been disqualified form the match. This is unimportant.
- Look in your Pokèmon and your box. The same exact Pokèmon will be in both places.
- Trade or migrate your Pokèmon holding the Masterballs. (I am unsure if you can trade/migrate a Pokèmon holding a Masterball, but if you can then you now have infinite)
