they just randomly walk on to your farm but the best way to do it is when on farmville you leave farmville alone and open another tab or something but just leave farmville untouched an when u check it 10 mins later it will have a bar at the top (its about 1 in 10 chance) saying plz help this lost cow, sheep, duck etc but most of the time it will be a farmer wanting help!
