How can you get really good at sniping in MW2?

You need to find a spot where most of your body is concealed either bycamouflage or by sight obstruction, but your line of sight remains unobstructed. Lay some defenses (claymores, c4, etc.) around where you will be sniping so that no opponent can find you by accident. Use the perks UAV Jammer (So no one will find you), Iron lungs (So you have an extra 5 seconds to place your shot), and stopping power (A true one shot, one kill perk). I personally like using a bolt action sniper rifle as it gives you both a feel for sniping as well as extra damage and range. I would suggest not using the Barrett .50 cal as the kickback allows enemies to attack you easily, and it is very loud. Also, take advantage of your ghille suit and use vegetation to conceal yourself. If you can, find an area that looks down a hill toward a main area of the map, but that people will not stray into. If you are not at least 90% sure you will hit your target, it is often best not to fire. When encountering enemy snipers shoot them from a long distance and attempt an instant kill, or you hiding spot may be revealed. If you have the option between an enemy sniper or an enemy infantry, always kill the sniper, as he is more likely to discover your position. I hope this answer helps. I f you want to get good at hard scoping then just take your time in game modes like domination so you get a longer time period to practise on people. If you wanna quick scope go into a private match and practise zooming in and out on small objects fast using sleight of hand pro. once you get good at that go into a game and try it. PS its much easier to quickscope standing still.

There is no real answer to this question, people have their ways of becoming good and what not. Call of Duty is known for almost having the same game play each game they release. Personally, I played from Call of Duty 4, so I got used to the game play that does not change. If you are a new player to Call of Duty, you can use combat training or even play the campaign to get better.
