The above answer is right on, but wanted to add before you decide on the patch ask a lot of questions about what you are putting into your body. The patch or even pill form are hormones and you will have irregular periods for a bit. Birth Control patches/pills can cause many problems such as weight gain, headaches, moodiness, bloating, blood clots and heart disorders. If you choose to stop birth control you are more susceptible than ever for getting pregnant. ALWAYS be sure what you are putting into your body. Smoking is a no no with birth control patches/pills!
