pull it apart
its been my experience , if its a 3.4lt, it has two sensors for the crank, one in the block. and one in front cover near crank.
where is crank senser located on 2003 pontiac
somebody broke or didn't connect the crank sensor
The crank sensor on the 3.1 is on the firewall side of the engine, about halfway up the block, Difficult to get to. They are VERY BRITTLE, so take your time prying it out. You have to get at it from under the car and it is retained by one 10mm bolt. Good luck!
the crank sensor is somtimes located on the top of the oil pan. i know it is atlest on the 91. side of the block just below the exhaust manifold it takes a 10 mm socket
The crankshaft sensor is on the side of the engine behind the alternator. It is mounted close to the oil filter,
next to the crank pulley
For the 2.2L engine, remove the starter. The sensor is screwed into the engine block behind the starter with a 10mm bolt. The wiring plugs into the front of the sensor facing the radiator.
it is on the engine
depends if it broke at the thread or not but most defo not coz it is located on out side not in
It is above the starter. You must remove the started to get at the CPS. There is one bolt that holds the CPS in the block.
A bad cam or crank sensor can cause a no start, but the engine will still crank or turn over.
