Cats are stressed out when there's too much going on. Keep things quiet and calm, without a lot of movement and noise, and your cat will calm down. Also, don't make sudden movements around your cat, because that startles them and makes them stressed.

∙ 13y agoThere can be different reasons attributed to cats being loud. One reason that really stands out is when a feline is in heat. They can get quite loud and usually have a distinctively different sounds to how they usually speak.
Otherwise cats like the ones we have complain if they want a door open for them or if they want to go outside.
If your cat is not fixed after they are out of being in heat you may wish to look into having them fixed. If it is another issue it would be to your advantage to figure out the issue although cats are by nature night animals so they are prone to be awake at some part of the night.
There are books as well as on-line forums that would discuss trying to understand your cat as well as possibly trying to teach it some behavioral changes. Not necessarily an easy task though.

∙ 13y agoStick your cat/kitten in a room with no toys. Ignore the cat and pretend you're sleeping. Most of the time your cat/kitten will calm down because it has nothing to do.
