You can't MAKE your dog like other people, it depends on the breed and how it has been brought up.

Dogs are very sensitive to people, and if you or someone else is angry or nervous, the dog will pick up on this and will react.

Try getting friend involved with this; playing and rewarding helps the dog learn that meeting people is a very good thing, and relaxed and friendly behaviour will produce more "good things" for the dog.
