You can't MAKE your dog like other people, it depends on the breed and how it has been brought up.
Does your dog just not like people? Or does he just not like some of your friends? Does your dog act angry or scared? If he acts scared your friend is probably doing something to scare your dog. Dogs are very sensitive to people, and if you or someone else is angry or nervous, the dog will pick up on this and will react.
If your dog doesn't like people in general, it is best to train the dog so he is less stressed of meeting other people. Try getting friend involved with this; playing and rewarding helps the dog learn that meeting people is a very good thing, and relaxed and friendly behaviour will produce more "good things" for the dog. This takes time, but you and your dog will be far better from the time invested.
