You can't. Hormones determine when you will begin your period. This is regulated by DNA as well ( ask your mom when she started. This will give you an idea when you will). When your body releases the hormones your period will begin. Your cycle will also take a year or two to settle into a regular cycle so at first you may start and stop and start again. This normal and will also happen when you enter menopause years down the road when you are older.
