The trick for me was to find materials that my kids were interested in, instead of what I thought they should be interested in. Once I identified what the kids wanted to know all I needed to do was to provide them some quiet time so they could read.

teen girls usually read teen romance/fantasy/action/mystery books such as Twilight, The Hunger Games, 13 Reasons Why etc teen boys usually read action/sometimes fantasy/war books such as Harry Potter, Unbroken, Ted Dekker books etc basically we'll read anything that's NOT non-fiction
