Yes, you can. You have to start a new game, and then NOT save over your old character. For the menu screen, go to 'Load', instead of 'Continue' if you want to play your other one. Make sure you keep track of the different saves.

how the hell am i spposed ta know Definately Oblivion. It's just way more fun. The amount of freedom you get to do what u want is way more than you get from Fable. not to mention, Fable is kinda boring, and there isn't that much armor or weapons. Plus the world to oblivion is WAY bigger, so u get to explore more.
