i would say find an stud (earing) to match ur skin color
1 year after having it done, you can take the jewellery out for an 8 hour period without fear of the piercing closing up.
After one year you can remove the jewellery for a few hours without a fear of having the piercing close.
Without the jewelry to keep the piercing open, a cheek piercing will generally close within a few weeks. It can even happen in a few days if the piercing has not been there for a long period of time.
The piercing will start to shrink almost right away, but the piercing will not close completely for a few hours till it shrinks to a point where it can start to close on it's own. Be careful when replacing the jewellery do so after a shower where the tissue is moist and the jewellery can be replaced without having to force it into the piercing. If it's too snug go see your local body piercer to have the piercing tapered open to replace the jewellery.
Yes and it will close with a lump on it.
Well chances are good that the piercing may not close, it depends on how long you had the piercing before the jewellery is removed. Most of my clients get the jewellery replaced with a PTFE barbell which is ultra flexible made of surgical Teflon they manage to keep the piercing right through to delivery with no problems. If you have had the piercing for over a year, chances are good the piercing wont closed but it will shrink without jewellery in the piercing. You can get the jewellery put back in by seeing your piercer and having them use an insertion taper to reinsert the jewellery.
Cleaning a new piercing with the cleanser/antiseptic given to you without the earring in it will actually close it rather quickly. If the piercing is already healed leaving the earring out for a long time will close it though usually (especially on ears) a mark will be left and still appear as if it were pierced
It is not common for piercings, even new ones, to close up after only being out for 7 hours.
Of course you can't. It'll close super fast.
Well the longer the jewellery is left out of the piercing the sooner it will close and shrink to be less noticable unless you had a serious issue with the piercing then it may take even longer. Once you have had a piercing for over a year it can take sevral months without jewellery in the piercing to shrink and become unnoticable, the piercing doesn't just close and heal up the body has to work in reverse of healing to close the piercing permanently and this takes time.
It depends on the person most of the time a piercing that is stretched to a 0G will close to they original piercing size if you take the jewelery out.
Like any hole in the body that wasn't there by design the piercing will close if jewellery is not kept in the piercing. The speed at which the piercing closes will be dictated by the period of time the jewellery has been kept in the piercing, the longer jewellery is worn the longer it will take for the piercing to close up.
