AnswerDon't be sheep. Question everything. Don't let the government or some small group of strongmen get powerful enough to pull one off.____
There's no patent recipe for preventing genocide. A couple of thoughts:
1. Take past genocides seriously.
2. Don't believe conspiracy theories.
This question asks for an opinion. I would say one cannot 'ensure' that there won't be another Holocaust. After all, in 1994 there was the Rwandan genocide and the rest of the world stood by and did nothing, while the Hutus killed the Tutsis.
It also showed that genocide does not require gas chambers and crematoria. The Hutu militias murdered an estimated 800,000 Tutsis in about 90-100 days, mainly using machettes.
You cannot, in the same way that you could not predict that it would happen in the first place.
