YOU DON'T JUMP START A SUZUKI KATANA. The following reasons hold true:
1. The Suzuki Katana is a precision-power machine. Pushing the motorbike downhill on 3rd gear might start the bike a few times, but will ruin the bike's precision electronics because you are effectively turning the engine into an electric generator by pushing it to run.
2. "Gunning the gas" on a downhill jumpstart will engage the Katana's engine immediately, making it go very fast and dangerously so. Doing this might make you lose control of the motorcycle.
If you want to start your Suzuki Katana, have the starter and the kickstarter fixed. Make sure the carburetors and air cleaner are clean, and the spark plugs are all replaced together regularly.
The only people who jumpstart a Suzuki Katana are professional racers who have a pit crew to assist them with a push AND a fire extinguisher at hand at all times.

The best place to buy a Suzuki Katana motorcycle is from the official Suzuki Katana website. Alternatively these motorcycles can be purchased second hand from online auction sites such as eBay.
