Polypropylene float on oil.
Depends on which plastic. Some will be affected by gasoline, some will not. I have plastic gas cans, and a tractor with a plastic gas tank.
Some materials are: glass, polyethylene, polypropylene.
Some materials are: glass, polyethylene, polypropylene.
These are plastics which are softening while temperature increases. Such property makes forming of end products easy. Examples are: Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Polytetrafluoroethylene also known as Teflon, Polyvinyl chloride (PCV) to name few popular.
There are several types of plastic used in the making of clothes hangers. Polystyrene, polypropylene, and ABS are among the plastic compounds used to make plastic hangers. These compounds are used because the are colorless rigid plastics that can be molded when in liquid states.
Acetone dissolves many plastics. Some pipette tips are safe for use with acetone, including polypropylene tips, a common micropipette tip material.
- Some plastics made from starch are biodegradable- Another bio-oxodegradable plastics contain a catalyst ( as iron oxide) which improve the degradation in contact with oxygen.Generally biodegradable plastics are as foils not containers.
some are
some plastics metals and pic chips
Most plastics are made from fossil fuel oil, so they are not eco friendly. Plastics made from vegetable oil are eco-friendly because they biodegrade (decompose) into organic matter.
Some plastics will float in water and others will sink. It depends on the type of plastic and in particular it depends on the density of the plastic material. This property is used as a method for separating the different plastics sent for recycling. Polyethylene and Polypropylene, for example, will float in water while PVC and ABS will sink.
Shoes are made of many different types of material. Some rubber, some leather, some are even made out of wood! But those would be "clogs". (If you don't know what clogs are, look them up! :] )
