There's no particular way to tell, but sometimes you may get a feeling that something is there. This is either paranoia or some force influencing these thoughts. Obviously, if objects are moving, you have a force. This is known as Diabolic Infestationconcerning your house or an object.

Ok someone apparently has a ghost of a teenage girl that follows them around that does not know it is dead and is afraid of that person why would a ghost follow someone that it fears?
Maybe the ghost is shy? It may have a reason against the person.
