Just look under the front of the car, just behind the rad. And there it is, if it is a 4cyl of course?
if the starter is good , then its possible. do you know how to do it?
All starters are somewhere near the flywheel or flexplate, as the starter turns the flywheel or flexplate. That is located between the transmission and engine, but not visable. You will find a heavy gauge wire attached to the starter that will directly or indirectly run back to the battery positive terminal.
R-12 is not sold anymore.

Have to remove all the top parts of the engine and the valve cover. Then the head bolts. Have the head sent out to be checked and a valve job. Head bolts must be torqued when replaced.
The starter on an 89 Chevy Camaro is installed by placing the vehicle on jack stands, attaching the starter wires, and aligning it with the mounting holes. The bolts are place in the starter, torqued down, and the shroud cover attached.
