To reduce high body temperature as in a fever, you can use aspirin or tylenol or any similar medication that can do so.
You should remove excess clothing, and apply cool or room temperature water compress to the forehead to cool off. It need not be cold water as evaporation from the compress will do the job. In extreme emergency cases, dunking the whole body in water will lower temperature.
