First of all Santa Claus is not so cosmopolitan as the myth-makers like to project. Large portions of the world have their own, independent Christmas traditions, some religious, some secular, not all involving Mr. Claus. In Switzerland, there is a distinction between Saint Nicholas- who is celebrated in the Klausjagen ( Claus-Hunt) a sort of parade pageant on Dec 6) which has nothing to do with Christmas- and Christmas proper. S. Claus is called Father Christmas or similar handle in some countries. ironic aly the German handle Kris Kringle is a corruption of Krist Kindl- Christ Child- which is the real heart and soul of the holiday-or should be. in large parts of the globe, Santa Claus or Clausism as I prefer to call it , is let"s face it unknown. ( for that matter baseball is practically speaking, unknown in Europe). differfent strokes...
Thailand is mainly a Buddhist land. Yes, and Buddhists deities and Boddhisattvas ( roughly deified laymen - loosely like our Saints)- but let"s face it, Buddhists do not observe Christmas, let alone ( Santy Wozzz) come on. Clausism, myth to the contrary is NOt a global or even cosmopolitan custom. In Buddhist lands, it is unknown.
beard is on Santa's face
The person we call Santa Claus is based on a real person, Saint Nicholas, hence his nickname "old Saint Nick." However, the saint, who lived around 300 AD, had no magical powers, or elf helpers, or flying reindeer, and he did not live at the North Pole. These are mostly fictional representations, but the basic premise of Santa Claus is as the spirit of Christmas. He embodies the ideals of brotherhood, charity, selflessness, and goodwill to others. This is a greater purpose than merely getting children to behave all year in the hope of a Christmas reward. Long ago, a young girl wrote a letter to a newspaper office, wanting to know if Santa was real. A newspaper editor, a man of some wisdom and insight, concluded that there is a Santa Claus, for anyone who believes in him. Although it is unlikely that any of us will ever meet him face-to-face as he is coming down the chimney. (see also the related link below)
its when santa claus comes and wants to eat people and when yah and santa clause walks his dog and the dog had a smile face on his back then santa ran in a house came out with roller skates on and a dress and hot pan on his head and he was wet. lol lol lol lol lol lol
Oh Boy. I knew this would come up. Santa is not a bad guy Santa is a good guy. I have had coffee with him on more than one occasion and he is a really cool guy. But when I first applied for the job he was the only other person applying for the position. I mean our skills are very similar. Lots of people know us, but very few people see us. But can you really imagine a creature in a black robe without a face delivering presents to kids. We got placed where we were based on appearance. how can Santa be the grim reaper, there is no history to even get that conclusion!!!! Santa Claus came from either the Greek winter god όνομα Santa Claus της version, the Christian version, Catholic version (Saint Nicholas), or the author of The Night Before Christmas, Clement C. Moore version. Santa Claus most likely came from a real man named Saint Nicholas.
yes santa does have a beard and a moustache he is real who ever thinks santa is fake there mean. merry Christmas
A Bunny Buck is a valid US Dollar that has an Easter Seal printed over Jefferson's face. There are also some with Santa Claus on them. They are sold to make money for charities and often used as gifts.
