Yes, the Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi will make your computer sound more like a stereo.
Most computers come pre-installed with a sound card. This component allows you to listen to any audio coming from your computer or record audio into your system. Each sound card has its own specific driver to make it work successfully on a computer's operating system. Usually, a sound card will come fully equipped with an installation CD that includes the sound card driver. This driver directs the data connections to and from your sound card and the computer's operating system. And you can download a sound driver from the Interenet. Also, below the related link is not a bad choice for you if you need it.
Sound is processed in the sound card of the computer. It then sends signals to the speakers. The speakers vibrate and make the actual sounds that you hear.
Try going to the options and turning the sound effects on and off, then tap a few things to make a sound. Do this several times and the sound might turn back on. If not, just turn the device off and on (press and hold not simple tap) afterwards the sound will definitely come back on.
Make sure your sound card is properly connected inside your computer to the motherboard. Make sure the driver is working properly. check your sound card and your wiring.
go on your computer and then put sound recorder and ummm that's it
