The interior light door switch in a Buick Roadmaster is responsible for activating the interior lights when a door is opened. Typically located in the door frame or on the door itself, this switch is a crucial component for ensuring visibility inside the vehicle. If the lights do not come on when a door is opened, the switch may be faulty or misaligned. Troubleshooting often involves checking the switch for proper function and ensuring that the wiring is intact.

If the interior lights in your Buick Rendezvous aren't working, it could be due to a blown fuse, a faulty door switch, or a failure in the wiring. First, check the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the interior lights. If the fuses are fine, inspect the door switches to ensure they are functioning correctly when doors are opened. If all else seems normal, there may be an issue with the wiring or the light fixtures themselves.
In a 1997 Buick LeSabre, the dome light is typically powered by a fuse located in the interior fuse box. This fuse is usually labeled as "Dome" or "Interior Lights." To confirm the exact location and number, it's best to consult the vehicle's owner's manual or the fuse box cover for a diagram. If the dome light is not functioning, checking this fuse for continuity is a good first step.
