I have that if you get an old fashioned clock and place a towel over it by their beds, it helps them sleep at night. Supposedly the sound of the clock ticking is supposed to be familiar like their mothers heart beat when they were in the womb. You might also make sure they are sleeping a warm place.

it depends on there breed and age etc. but most dogs are meant to have 12 - 14 hours sleep and some sleep more then that. at first i thought it was strange for dogs to sleep so much in the day and night as well, but don't worry its normal.
