These times have changed. The Old Pixie Hollow was way better, I do agree. You may ask for a request to make the badges prettier by contacting them.

To make embroidered badges, one must have a machine embroiderer. A good place to learn more about making embroidered badges is craft stores that sell this type of machine. There are also a number of video tutorials offered on YouTube.
No, the Cadette badges are different than Junior badges.
If that is your problem, there's a big chance you've hacked it into your game, or traded it over from someone who has it. Anyway, just like with all other pokemon, you will need to get some more gym badges. Certain badges make pokemon of a higher level obey you. For example: getting the second gym badge will make pokemon up level 20 (maybe 30, i can't recall) obey you. This has no effect on pokemon you caught in your own game, they will obey you regardless of level and gym badges.
All About Pins and Promo Badges both create custom badges in small or large quantities. Awesome Merchandise is another site that does custom badge work.
If you are active in the Wiki community, work with groups, and make quality contributions, then badges will come to you without you even needing to think about them.
No, there is no requirement to do badges. In fact, no merit badges are required for the first 4 ranks. If one enjoys being a scout but does not wish to progress any further in rank than First Class he can just enjoy the program and not earn any badges. Some badges are typically earned as part of the scouting activities so a scout who is participating regularly would probably not have to do a badge in his own until fairly high in the program.
