The best way to "look straight" is to be straight. Ultimately, you should look in a way that best expresses who you are. Like everyone says, just be yourself. But everyone should also have the right to self-autonomy and the right to make their lives and behaviors as they desire. So this is an attempt to answer what is asked.

1. First, someone with this goal would want to dress according to their gender. In the Western world, certain things are considered masculine and certain things are considered feminine. It is not really fair, but that is how it is. So a man should wear short hair and no jewelry, while a woman should wear longer hair and jewelry. Men would want to avoid purple and pink clothes.

2. You would try to control your gestures. A woman would want to cross her legs at the knee, while a man would want to place his ankle on the other knee. A man would not want to flap his hands around a lot, and he should swing his arms when he is walking. A man would not want to swing his hips when walking.

3. You'd want to watch what you own. A typical "straight man" would not drive certain types of cars, especially if they are pink, fuchsia, or purple. A man/boy who rides bikes would want one where the top tube comes across the top right at the groin, whereas a girl/woman would want one where the top tube goes down.

4. You'd want to watch how you eat. A straight man would just chow down, wipe his mouth harshly with a crumpled napkin, etc., while a woman would eat more carefully, avoid foods that would ruin her figure, and pat her mouth gently with a folded napkin.

5. What you do to entertain yourself would be another giveaway. A guy would not want to be caught watching "chick flicks" at a movie or at home when friends are over. A lady would not want to be caught fixing her own car or watching very violent movies.

6. Traditionally, men have been more likely to have bad habits and addictions. Really, everyone should avoid these. Smoking was traditionally just for men until advertising campaigns targeted women. Even now, it is very rare to see women smoking cigars or pipes. Men were traditionally more likely to use profanity, though women use it plenty today.

7. If you are a man, you might want to join the armed forces, and if you are a woman, you might want to adopt a "girly" occupation or become a homemaker. But keep in mind that plenty of LGBT people are in these roles too.

If all else fails, bring a partner of the opposite sex as an accessory, and try to look like you are into that person. However, that is not fair to them, and it is better to just be genuine. Trying to present as a type of person who provides things they are unable or unwilling to provide is dishonest and leading others on.

Or just give up and just do what comes naturally for you. A lot of the old rules just simply are not respected as much anymore, and following them won't gain you many points with others. A lot of things don't mean what they once meant.
