Another view: If the group is incorporated under the laws of your state, (and if they are a fund-raising group they MUST BE) their incorporation information will be on file with your state agency that registers corporations. From those records you will be able to ascertain the officers of the organization, however, if it is a true private non-profit organization, their membership list need not be disclosed to the public.
