Klik and play does run on windows 7 but only on the 32bit versions it will not run on windows 7 64bit
It should play just fine on Windows 7 64bit
Nativity No Valve is not going in that direction , but Under the WOW emulator ( Windows On Windows Emulator , Its basically a 32bit emulator to 64bit windows) I was able to play half life 1 from start to finish on vista 64bit (You may have to right click and go to the properties menu and set the compatability mode) or you can wait the new Remake of Half life 1 using the Half life 2 engine that does support 64bit. you can see the full mod details and the trailer at http://www.blackmesasource.com/. - Velcurry
Over the years I have found that computers with 64bit dual or quad core CPU's and a 64bit operating system is best.

If you have Mechcommander Gold on cd. In windows explorer create a folder and name it MCX or whatever you wish. copy the contents from your cd to the new folder. Note: you will need the cd of mechcommander to be in your disk drive to play but you will start the game for the copied version in your new folder. MCX.EXE will start the game for you. worked for me! Tried the same with Mechcommander 2 but it did not work for me. hope this helps.
