You can prevent yourself fron diseases like Cholera and Typhoid by making sure any water you drink/use is definitely clean e.g filter your water. Another way to do this is to also make sure all sewage is disposed of properly and I reccoment that if you start having symptoms such as mild-to-moderate diarrhea, a sustained fever as 104 degrees, feel weak, or have gastro-enteritis, headache, diarrhea and loss of appetite you should see a doctor.
