download mods which arent "rarred", otherwise cant...
Winrar, 7zip those types of programs
Yes. You have to use an archiving program, but it doesn't necessarily have to be WinRAR. WinZip also works, and if you're using a Mac you can just use the built in zip extractor. BetterZIP is also a good archiving program that works for Mac.
When downloading a mod, carefully read the description of the mod. Most mods will have different instructions on how to download it.Most mods require 3rd-party extracting tools such as 7-Zip or WinRAR.
First, download winrar. Second download the require mods and pen the in winrar. Then, pen the Minecraft.jar with winrar. Delete the META-INF folder. Drag all the class files into the Minecraft.jar file. then "x" it out and your done. Hope this helped.
Gigabytes?! It should NOT be much, unless it is a combination of 1,000s of minecraft mods. Minecraft mods take up very little space. Just be sure to have winrar or 7zip.
No you can play them without the patches
it is under mods but you have to give a donation of a least four dollars to get it. you should download it from www.simbology.com but you will need winrar which you can get a free trial for and it still works.
Files with the extension *.ESP are opened and run by the game itself, or by the Elder Scrolls Construction Set (Read the help files for full details on how to open ESP files for editing.) Many downloaded plugins (mods) are contained within compressed folders. These can be extracted using the appropriate compression / extraction tool. This is usually WinRAR or WinZIP. These programs can be downloaded from their publishers websites for free (usually). In the case of WinRAR it is not necessary to purchase the program license after a certain period of use. The program will prompt you to "purchase online" after this period but if you ignore the warnings the program will continue to work without any problems. Morrowind mods run on mostly WinRAR. You can also use a zip program. I suggest going to either fileplanet.com or uesp.net to find out what one you want and If your looking for mods go to fileplanet.com. You have to be a member though but it's where you can get all mods. There is a way so that you don't have to pay for membership to fileplanet.com but I can't remember how I did it. I suggest going online and finding someone who knows.
Yes, depending on your current version of Minecraft, you can update it to completely start on a new slate (deletes all modifications). Or, you can open the minecraft.jar file using Winrar and manually undo what you replace. Or even un-install minecraft and re-install it using your previous licence.
There are different ways but one of the easiest ways is to use Winrar. Its an application that extracts files. There are several videos on youtube so just look on there!

You can't make a "single player just for mods." All of your data is stored in the exactly same place and mods affect every single world. If it is a mod you can turn off then there is your answer.
