i use to bite my nails when i ws 11 but fpr my 12th birthday party we where gonna have our nails done (me and some friends from school ) and it hit me then i was the only one with short nails nd i had 17 days to grow them out my mum refused to buy me treatment so here is what i did / could of done-
used treatment
everytime i was cought bitting them some one would tell me not to
chew chewing gum
paint your nails in your fave coulor so that u dont want the coulor to go and you get a horrible taste in your mouth when you do bite them
use your will power
put your nails in nail polish remover this also taste vile
use fake nails this way you chewing plastic

About 30 years ago I decided I had to quit biting my nails and what I did was replace the urge with biting with something else. I realized that one reason I bit my nails was when I felt a uneven edge or a break so instead of biting them I got a file and started grooming them. It did the trick. Now I carry a file in my handbag, have them all over the house and I don't bite my nails. Maybe this will work for you too.
