The best most effective way is to take classes in person from a young age, but can still be learned when you are older, but requires more time and discipline. If you cannot afford classes or simply don't have the time there are always online classes that you can stop and start at any time. There are many books that teach Spanish and there are also many free game sites that teach it (i know this because i took Spanish classes and they directed us to sites).
