When you file your income tax return the bonus will be taxed at your normal rate. It is standard policy to hold 30 percent on most bonuses in case it changes your tax bracket. Being military it is not likely that your bonus will put you over to the next bracket so you can probably expect to see at least half if not more back. Thanks for your service!
