One must first understand that dynamic change is a necessary and vital component of of living. Natural environments are constantly changing over time. Adaptations that once were advantages become liabilities. Extinction is a natural and necessary process of dynamic rotation. Over 97% of all species that ever lived have gone extinct. It should be noted that extinction has been going on long before mankind entered the picture. The elimination of the basic dynamics of life itself -- in the pursuit of freezing time and the processes of life is extremely anti-nature.

If one could succeed in halting the brutal but bountifully natural processes of adaptation -- all life itself would eventual become ill-adapted and thereby become extinct. the biggest threat to nature is the ego power trip of thinking we can replace nature's dynamic ways with our feeble attempts to prolong this insignificant instant in time.
