What is your opinion about cyberdefender?

Cyberdefender is rouge av, a form of spyware. Don't download it, and avoid the double my speed, and my fast PC commercials. That's the last thing you need on your computer,

How do you uninstall cyberdefender it just says access denied.I tried to uninstall right after i installed.......help?

I had the same problem with Cyberdefender and My Identify Defender. I used "System Restore," and picked a date I knew Cyberdefender was not on my computer. Select--Start--Programs--Accessories--System Tools--System Restore. Worked for me. I also had the problem with cyberdefender. The guys at Dell Connect told me, by the way, to NEVER download ANYTHING from the internet. Anyway, I did the usual stuff: went to the control panel and used the Uninstall Programs, but Cyberdefender was still my search engine! I tried every suggestion I could find, from Google and MSN and Windows, to no avail. The Dell guys, again, helped me: He simply clicked on the arrow to the right of my search engine window, in the very, top, upper right corner. A list of Search Providers popped down, and all he did was have me click on the default. I made the mistake of installing Cyberdefender before reading the reviews on Cnet.com, etc. Uninstalling it proved to be one of the worst experiences ever. It leaves a toolbar on Internet Explorer called 'My Identity Defender'. No place in add/remove programs to uninstall it. Avast Antivirus alerts me that it's a trojan every time I launched Internet Explorer. I had to go into C:\Documents and Settings, then look in a user subfolder (you may need to open all the folders under Documents and Settings to see which one it's in). There I found a Cyberdefender folder. I deleted the folder, then ran Malwarebytes (free) and Spyware Doctor to see what it found. I then ran Glary Registry Repair (free). It deleted a few Cyberdefender registry entries. Problem was solved! Had I known System Restore works, I would have used that instead and saved lots of research.

How do I uninstall cyberdefender and Avast?

I had the same problem with Cyberdefender and My IdentityDefender. I used System Restore. It is under Start--Programs--Accessories--System Tools--System Restore. I picked a date I knew Cyberdefender and My IdentityDefender were not on my computer. Worked for me. I went to my "control panel" and checked out the programs my PC "boots" or runs on "startup." I scrolled down alphabetically in all the programs to Cydefender and checked the box. Then click on "uninstall." You'll have to completely shut down and then restart the computer to verify their stupid sales pitch doesn't come on again. i never subscribed to their "service." They don't seem like very nice folks to deal with. Apparently more people than I have had poor luck trying to deal with them. I would never give them any money for anything. They seem to preying upon peoples good nature and don't care about anybody but themselves and generating cash. For shame.
