You can have that portion of the leather replaced. My best advice is to take it to a Louis Vuitton Boutique, from there they will give you an estimate on how much it would be to replace the leather (providing that the bag is indeed real). From there it is sent to France to be repaired and you can expect your bag back in a few months.

How do you remove a denim stain from a white vinyl handbag?

I've used Goo Gone to remove stains from vinyl bags before. I would test it on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it doesn't harm the finish. I used it mostly to remove surface stains and dirt, so if your stain is deep into the vinyl it might not work as well.

Save Money By Taking Care of Your Leather Handbag?

Leather handbags are expensive, and the best way to save money on them is not to find the cheapest one available, but to do everything that you can to take care of and maintain the one that you ultimately choose to purchase. The great thing about the leather handbag is the fact that it seems to match any outfit or style. But in order for it to remain stylish, it has to stay in good condition. The amount of time and effort that it takes to take care of a leather handbag is not very extensive, but it is very important. Here is how to take care of your handbag. First and foremost, the handbag has to be repetitively cleaned. If food, chemicals and cleaning products, and even water and rain can ultimately cause the leather to become damaged. Most of substances that can get stuck to the handbag can typically be removed with nothing more than a damp cloth. This is best accomplished with warm water, since the energy from the warm water helps to remove the dirt or whatever other substances that could stain the handbag. This, in turn, means that you will not have to scrub to hard to get it out, which can cause the leather to become damaged if it is done too vigorously. It is important not to use too much water, however, and a leather handbag definitely should not be placed under water. If the stain is more complicated, such as with gum, oil, or grease, a damp cloth won't be enough. In the case of oil or grease, you will want to start with the damp cloth to remove the excess. You can then sprinkle some talcum powder or corn starch around the area, and let it sit on the handbag for roughly twelve hours. It can then be wiped off with a dry cloth. For gum, you can use an ice cub to harden the gum and pop it off. In addition to cleaning, you will need to store the handbag in a way that will not damage it. It should not be stored in a cold area, as this can cause the material to weaken and dry out. Obviously, it should not be stored in a place where a mess could get made, such as in the kitchen. If the handbag needs to be stored for extended periods of time it should be in a place where the temperature stays relatively constant, and their is plenty of airflow.

What does VDB mean on pennies?

VDB stands for Victor David Brenner, who created the front side of the cent (Lincoln's head). He put them prominently on the reverse side of the coin when it was first issued. The public thought it was egotistical (?) and a campaign was launched to pressure the mint to remove his initials. Later that year they were removed. In 1918 the initials were placed in extremely tiny letters under the fold of Lincoln's coat, where they remain on coins struck ever since.vdb are the initials for Victor D. Brenner, the designer of the front of the Lincoln cent. He also designed the wheat-ear reverse used from 1909 to 1958.

How do you remove sticky residue from price stickers on color handbag without removing the color?

Really, it sounds weird, but peanut butter works on sticker residue. Just put a little bit over the area where the stickiness is and let it sit for a while. The glue should just wipe right off.

How do you remove power steering fluid from a leather handbag Have tried detergent with no luck. thanks?

Power steering fluid can cause serious damage and staining to leather interiors and fabrics. It is highly probably that the stain may not come out, but the best chance for getting rid of it is to apply degreaser and then brush the stain vigorously with soap.

How do you remove yourself from Intellius?

it is a complicated and long process to remove yourself from this and other databases. You need to copy your ID and send it to them. You need to write a letter with a certain name, like John Smith, and ask them to remove it under their opt out policy. They will only take requests by fax, so fax your information to 425-974-6194. Make sure you list all names that your records could be found under, including messed up names and initials that are on your credit report.

How can you safely remove Styrofoam from an oil painting?

I had the same problem with an expensive piece of Louis Vuitton luggage. A piece of styrofoam sheeting, which was in the LV storage box, had actually bonded to the luggage. After trying many mild cleaning solutions, my gorgeous and talented husband was able to lift the entire boo-boo off the luggage with a pair of tweezers. Hope this helps, David

Large Handbags For Everyday Comfort and Style?

Searching for the perfect handbag is a never ending criteria of choices. Color, size, texture and accessories all play a vital role in purchasing your next purse. However, when it come to practicality and comfort, you can’t go wrong with a large handbag. The size of the bag may seem relevant to your fashion statement, but what it comes down to at the end of the day is the handbag’s utility and purpose. Better to go a size up to make room for what you need to carry than trying to cram your daily items into a bag that is too small. Medium and smaller handbags are usually not the ticket for work and errand running, with your items crushed into a compact space creating chaos and disorder when you wish to remove something. The large handbags are a favorite for the top designers to compete for your business. Gucci, Fendi, and Dooney and Burke are some of the frontrunners for creating functional large handbags with class and style. When investing into a quality purse, you may wish to go neutral with white, black, brown or beige to get the most mileage out of coordinating your handbag to everything in your closet. Pop art colors are fun and fashionable, however, purse lovers on a budget will do well to collect just a few basic earth tone handbags. The large handbag can be orientated in a vertical bucket style or a wide horizontal shape for easy handling. Both the long and wide bags serve a purpose for fashion, however, you will find the horizontal configuration a bit easier to work with when removing your items. The deeper bucket bags are ideal for carrying larger items such as books, food containers, and clothing, however, they make digging into the handbag for smaller items an ordeal. Your make-up, cell phone, pens and all the little things you want to whip out quickly will fall to the bottom of the large bucket handbag. In contrast, the large handbag cut in a wide horizontal pattern allows for easy access to your items and a good visual scan of what’s in your purse. The longer large handbags have an aesthetic beauty to them and can help to steam line your body with a bold vertical bag. The horizontal shaped bags are ideal for summer, and although they may give the appearance of a wider waistline, they are among the easiest and most convenient handbag to carry. Choose your length of strap from a tight underarm position for security or a long and flowing hip length for a sense of freedom when you walk. Whatever sized large handbag you choose, the luxury of having space for everything you need is a bargain at any price.
