Try wiping it down with club soda. If that doesn't work, try white vinegar.
burn it...
You could but you need to make sure it is the clear acrylic because you can and may get an infection its best to use steel tapers 1. it wont take as long to heal and 2. its easier and cleaner (and wont smell as bad)
It's a hard plastic... so it look like a block of plastic. Almost like a thick piece of glass.
Acrylic will melt while resin doesnot although it may soften. Not sure, maybe the smell is different when they burn.
If you can smell burnt plastic then you could potentially be in danger. Smoke from burning plastic can be harmful to breathe.
Tried bleach, work some. Tried vinegar, worked less. Baking soda, not much. Now I am on to Oxiclean...

sort of like burning plastic but a little diff you will have to smell it to know what im talking about but burning plastic is about what it smells like
If your dog's water dish is made of plastic, the smell is most likely due to bacteria. This should have nothing to do with whatever a "high liver count" is, nor the age of your dog. Once a colony of bacteria has begun growing inside of plastic, it is extremely difficult to remove the smell.
One example would be the smell of food when it is tightly sealed in a plastic bag; the smell is effusing out of the small holes in the plastic bag.
Try Washing it every day for some time, with clear water with a splash of vinegar! and open the windows more. Did it help?
You can smell a onion in a paper bag but not one in plastic because paper is porous. This means that paper bags have tiny holes allowing the onion smell to seep out.
