You can't without a device to change the AC to DC and lower the voltage and create a mating plug to connect to the saw. A DC power supply would work if the current rating were high enough. You could probably take an old battery and cut it up and create a plug, but you would have to be very careful with wiring and safety.

Is it ok to connect a 110v power saw to a 15amp circuit?

In order to answer that question you have to know either the power consumed by the saw, or the current it draws to run. Typically, power tools and other large machinery uses the most current at startup; so if you can find the startup current of the tool, make sure it is less than 15 amps. If you can't find the start up current, look at the peak power consumption of the device (should be in Watts). Power = current * voltage, and conversely: Current = Power/Voltage. Since I assume your saw runs off 110V like most other household items, just divide the peak power by 110V and make sure the answer is less than 15 amps.

Can I run a 230 volt 20 amp table saw on 10 3 with a 250 foot run?

Yes you can. If you don't need 120 volts at the saw then you can use 2Conductor # 10 copper wire. FYI, don't know if you know it, but you don't count the bare ground wire in the conductor count. Anyways With # 10 wire you will get a 6 volt drop at the end of 250 feet which is 2.5% leaving you a working voltage of 234 volts.

Changeing switch on a craftman tablesaw with a household switch-?

It is not recommended to change the switch on a Craftsman table saw with a household switch. The original switch is designed specifically for the saw's voltage and amperage requirements, ensuring safe operation. Using a household switch may not provide the necessary protection and could potentially cause damage to the saw or pose a safety hazard. It is best to consult the manufacturer or a professional electrician for appropriate replacement options.

What stores sell devices that you can plug into your car to make a 120 volt receptacle?

I can't use store names here but check with your local discount store, automotive parts store, or any store with automotive parts and accessories. I saw one in the discount store rated at 140 watts for $20. This will run most anything without a heating element or motor. The device is generally known as an "inverter", creating alternating current from direct current, so you can run an AC appliance from a battery circuit. They can often be found in the "portable electronics" aisle of a department store.

How can a 110 volt table saw be rated 4 horsepower at 15 amps?

it cant someone in marketing is lying Regarding any electrical equipment, especially motors, 746 watts or volt-amps is 1 horsepower. If your table saw is rated 4 horsepower, that would be 2984 volt-amps and at 110 volts that calculates to 27 amps. The above answer is correct. At 110 volts you cannot run a 4 horsepower motor on a 15 amp circuit. <<>> The above theoretical answer is correct however you should allow extra for efficiency less than 100% and a power factor less than 1, so the current requirement should be increased by 25% to 34 amps. <<>>The rule of thumb for motors at 240 v is 7 amps per HP, which would be 28 amps for 4 HP, but because the voltage is less the current must be more, 28x240/110 which is 61 amps.

My new table saw has a cord with three wires total red black and green can you run two wire BX from the breaker panel and if so do you just consider the black and white as hot and no neutral?

Sounds as though your saw is a 220 volt saw. If so then yes if you run a 2 conductor BX cable you will employ the black and white conductors in the cable as the two "hot" conductors. So just wire black to black, and red to white. However, you should be running a 3 conductor cable to provide a ground to your saw.
