How can you save water from air pollution?

Air pollution can have significant effects on water. The nature of the pollution is that it takes place across vast areas and it difficult or impossible to protect water from pollution that is airborne.

One of the best known causes of water pollution is that of acid rain, resulting from various oxides from burning fossil fuels dissolving into water to form acids. The simple and effective prevention is to avoid the air pollution.

To a lesser extent, air can affect bodies of water such as lakes and oceans.

In both cases, we do not have the resources to prevent contact between air and water so the only reasonable and viable action is to prevent air pollution.
